Will it fit my horse?
Yes. Every piece adjusts: the chest strap buckles and the leg bands use hook-and-loop closures, so it fits ponies, Icelandics and full-size horses alike.
Is it safe? Can it overheat?
The lights are low-power LEDs running on small button batteries, so they stay cool even after hours of use. No hot bulbs and no high-voltage parts.
Is it comfortable for my horse?
The straps are soft, lightweight nylon and the full set weighs about 670 g, so most horses barely notice it. Fit it snug, not tight: two fingers should slide under every strap.
Will the lights spook my horse?
Most horses don't react at all. For the first time, let your horse sniff each piece, switch it on in the stable or arena, and start with steady mode before trying the flashing modes.
How long does the battery last?
About 70 hours per battery. Each piece takes a standard CR2032 button battery, sold in most supermarkets and electronics shops, and swaps in seconds.
What light modes are there?
Three: steady, slow flash and fast flash. One press of the button cycles through them or switches the light off.
How long is the tail light?
The strands are 100 cm long. They sit naturally inside the tail and move with it as you ride.
Can I use it in the rain?
It copes with normal riding conditions but isn't waterproof. Avoid heavy rain, never submerge or hose it, and let it dry fully before storing.
How long does it take to put on?
Around two minutes. Buckle the chest strap, wrap the four leg bands just above the fetlocks, attach the tail light at the base of the tail, and you're done.
Safety first: how should I use it?
These lights help you and your horse be seen in low light. They're a visibility aid, not a substitute for safe riding. Follow local road and riding rules, wear a helmet, and never leave the lights on an unattended horse. Check the fit before every ride and remove any piece that rubs or slips. The rider vest is for visibility only and isn't protective gear.
How do I clean it?
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, keeping water away from the light modules and battery compartment. Dry fully before storing.
Which colours are available?
Horse pieces come in blue, green and red, with pink returning soon. Rider hats come in 8 colours and vests in 4, so you and your horse can match.
